Cannot get past authentication

I cannot connect my Chromecast to cast my TV  i cannot get passed  we couldn't authenticate your Chromecast any help is appreciated I have tried restarting my Internet I have numerous times factory reset the Chromecast.  N have deleted j redownload the Google home app  still nothing

It's a known worldwide issue.  @madebygoogle is replying to tweets about it along the lines of "We're aware of an emerging issue impacting Chromecast 2nd gen and Chromecast Audio devices and are working on a fix."  I have yet to see an official statement about it, though.

Hope they can fix it
