Casting Sound From Chromecast Google TV to Nest Speakers (Stereo)

Hello,

I just got my Nest Speakers and Chromecast Google TV thinking I could cast sound from the Chromecast to the Speakers.

I have been able to do this via bluetooth, but it is clunky.

I need help setting this up.

If you start watching content on Chromecast (not cast content to it from a phone, tablet, or computer), the audio from Chromecast can play on Nest speakers via Bluetooth, but only Bluetooth. Casting is for content sharing not connecting your Chromecast with Nest speakers.

If you add Chromecast and your speakers to a speaker group, you can cast audio from a phone, tablet, or computer, to the speaker group and it will play on Chromecast and your speakers at the same time. This only works for music and audio, not video however.

Thank you for reaching out. I would still love to stream video from the Chromecast to the Nest Speakers over WiFi instead of bluetooth. I always have to reconnect.

Its not very tidy.
