Is there really no way to move a personal routine to a household routine without recreating it? Seems like you should be able drag them or check a box

Google please get this updated ASAP please

Please do this. Copying would be great too as I often create large routines that are mostly similar and it sucks to recreate them from scratch. I have 50+ routines and don't want to recreate them under household either.

I'm also annoyed I can't seem to be able to do this.

I'm here for the same reason.

Hey there,
I wanted to check in. Thank you so much for the feedback, as we are always looking to improve our products. You can also submit feedback at any time. Here is a link with more details on that. Please be aware that I will be locking the thread in 24 hours.
Best regards,
Jake

In fact there is nothing at that link to submit feedback. There is a lot of crap where you click through link after link only to get thrown to a place to get help on facebook or chat or phone call. The help I need is for Google to actually use their products and realize how poorly designed they are and fix them before you publish crap software.

Sadly it seems not! Or at best not yet from what I have found after a morning of hunting ...

I have this same issue. In the last years I created a lots of routines and now they are stock as personnal routines.

Hi folks,
@Jake, thanks for the help.
@All, I want to confirm if what you wanted is for you to use the same actions with your personal routines and your household routines or do you want to have the feature where you can drag the routines/actions from your personal to household and vice versa?
I'll be waiting for your response.
Regards,
Dan

Drag from personal to household.
11-14-2022 03:37 PM
Drag is fine with me.

I will say do both if possible. If you add copy, one could copy a routine and then make minor changes to do another function.

Hi guys,
I totally understand that these are good features to use with your routines, but, these features are not yet available. You can only create and/or remove an action. I'd suggest you submit feedback about it, here's how. Let us know if you have other questions and concerns otherwise, we will be locking this thread after 24 hours.
Best,
Dan

Hy @Dan_A,
Is there a way to link this discution in the feedback to not recreate this whole story?
Thanks and Regards,

Wait, first you ask to help and then you walk away after doing nothing? Do I work for Google? Can I get you stock options too?
11-16-2022 09:21 AM
I agree both options would be ideal.

Hi folks,
We appreciate your interest and thank you for sharing your thoughts; however, we don't have any news to share about the option to drag routines instead of creating an action on each routine. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback. Please send a feedback.
Thanks,
Dan

This is a terrible response. There are a bunch of people here submitting feedback, you've clarified that you understand what we want, and your response is to tell us we can't change routines in this way (we all know), and ask us to submit feedback (which we have done here). If this is how Google responds to feedback, I'm sure not going to waste my time submitting it a second time.

Yes, we want to be able to drag personal routines to household routines so other family members can use them.

Hy,
Drag from personal to household will work for me.

Can Google create a "Category" field that would display in each routine, and have the categories as "Routine Household" and "Routine Personal"? That way, we could switch the category on a routine very easily. Would also be great to have the ability to copy a routine and then edit it.

Since there is no solution I tried to delete and recreate my routines but now I'M IN BEAU TAB****K. Some personnal routines CAN NOT be deleted! So when I creat an household routine I get a stupid error because the trigger is already in use even if the personnal one is deactivated.

Hello everyone,
I apologize if the response seems wanting but sending feedback is a way for everyone to communicate their thoughts and requests to our programmers. Many of the features that you’re using with your Google Nest devices came from you, the customer’s requests and ideas. We're always looking for ways to improve. Let me know if you have other questions or concerns, otherwise I’ll be locking this thread after 24 hours.
Thanks,
Dan
