Chromecast not supporting "assistant.command.OkGoogle", and selecting audiodevice

Hey! I've been trying to set up an automation on my Chromecast using the Google Home app for IOS with mixed results 😞

I want Chromecast to start Spotify at a given time, but using time as a starter, for some reason means that I can't select a sound unit. If I choose a google assist prompt as starter I can choose my (only) sound unit and Chromecast will start the Spotify app like I want it to. I´m puzzled why the same action is not possible with different starters?

I've even tried making an automation script using the scripteditor but the error messages I get suggests "assistant.command.OkGoogle" is not supported on Chromecast?

Any troubleshooting help is greatly appreciated

Hey @TorstenBP - Which Chromecast device are you trying to use Spotify on? I don't see OkGoogle as an available action on my Chromecast with Google TV 4K but if you have a speaker or display on your account, you can try doing a "voice cast" via OkGoogle action using the speaker/display and specifying it to play Spotify on the Chromecast. Something like:

    - type: assistant.command.OkGoogle
okGoogle: Play Taylor Swift 1989 on Spotify on Living Room Chromecast
devices: Nest Audio - Living Room

This seemed to work ok with my Chromecast with Google TV 4K but not sure about older Chromecast models. Hope that helps!

It seems I have the same problem. I can't make an automation script to broadcast my Spotify playlist on Chromecast HD (named "TV mezza"). When I write this script I have an error from script editor ; [assistant.command.OkGoogle] is not compatible with device [TV mezza - 1 Mezzanine]

    actions:
      - type: assistant.command.OkGoogle
        okGoogle: play apero mix playlist
devices: TV mezza - 1 Mezzanine
