Nest camera won't stay connected outside

I had best camera connect with no problem outside. It was bought inside for short time. When I tried to use camera outside and place it exact same place outside as before it won't even connect. It's only about 30 feet from my router. Yes it's outside and door closed but I never had a problem earlier with it connecting to router outside

We have one camera that is around 25 feet from the closest Linksys router/access point, and we added a high-gain antenna to our Linksys to ensure a good Wi-Fi signal strength.

Hey everyone,

@Jps1970, thanks for reaching out to the Community. I’d be happy to help you with your Nest camera. Let’s check it out.

A few questions: what model of Nest camera do you have? What is the color of the status light? Are you using Google Home or the Nest app?

Have a look at this guide to troubleshoot (see "Only your camera or doorbell is offline" section): Troubleshoot an offline Nest camera or doorbell.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for chiming in, MplsCustomer.

All the best,

Lance

sorry took awhile to reply. The model number of cam is G3AL9. Its the indoor outdoor wireless cam. when I had it outside wasn't looking at the color . It connects inside but as soon as it taken outside it disconnects. I had it outside before with no problem. Now it  no longer connects outside. I know its not my router because i can use my phone outside 50 yards away and it connects to my router no problem. This camera is much closer than that and wont connect anymore. Also I am using the Google Home to view the camera.

Thanks for your reply and any suggestions is appreciated
