Chromecast won’t factory reset

I am trying to factory reset my Chromecast but it’s not allowing me to complete the task. It just keeps giving me an error. I’ve tried to put it in android recovery mode and factory reset that way but it wasn’t able to do it either. Also, when into my home page, the Chromecast wants me to verify it’s me and when I do it keeps repeating the verify message and won’t log me back in.

Thanks for posting—let's get this sorted out. What version of Chromecast device do you have? Kindly try the steps on how to factory reset your Chromecast device and let me know how it goes.
