Device not showing in Room

I added a light switch via one of my 'works with google' accounts (Abode).  I added the switch to my home and to a room.  The switch appears in settings correctly under Devices, Groups, and Rooms, showing the room.  The switch appears in the Lighting button from the Favorites page correctly, under the correct room.  It does not appear on the Devices page at all.  Not sure why.  I have relinked Abode and it did not change anything.

Hi Jeff86,

 

Thanks for posting—let's get this sorted out. Try to uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app > Command Google Assistant to “Sync my devices”. If it shows the same behavior, try using a different device and installing the Google Home app. Let me know how it goes.

That’s odd. What’s the iOS version of your phone? Do you have a spare phone or tablet? Kindly check if using a different device does the same behavior.

Hi, I have version 16.6.1

It does not show up in Devices on the other phone in my household either.  It does show up in settings as it should.

Hi, I did end up moving the device to another room and it showed up there.  I moved it back and it did not show up as expected.  I left it in the room where it worked.

I am having exactly this issue. Only shows up in devices when moving to another room. For me it's a Tapo outlet.
