Doorbell issues

I have an existing Nest Doorbell wired that has worked great, so I decided to buy one for my other door. I bought a Nest doorbell wired gen2 for the second door. Now our chime buzzes and rings sporadically on its own. Do I need to install a puck for the gen2 unit?  If so, where can I buy one?  Thanks in advance.

Each Google Nest doorbell needs its own chime puck/chime connector. The one for the 2nd gen Google Nest Doorbell is different from the one for the 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbell, and has 2 wires instead of 4. There should be a chime connector included in the box with each doorbell; you can't buy them separately.

I'm just another Google Nest customer. If your doorbell came without a chime connector, you could try contacting Support about a replacement:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.
