I have read all the threads on this topic, I have troubleshooted all the recommendations and cannot get my notification from my doorbell to my echo show.  Everything is connected properly and nothing! I'm so frustrated that I'm about to return everything.

For clarification,  I cannot get my doorbell notifications on my Echo show when someone rings my door bell. I get it on my phone but it doesn't make announcements

Hi XiomaraL03

Thank you for reaching out to our community.

I’m sorry to hear that after following all the troubleshooting steps that you have found, you are still not able to get notifications on your Echo Show 5 when someone rings your Google Doorbell. Thank you for the additional information provided to clarify that you are not getting the notifications either on your mobile device. No worries! I’m more than happy to help you!

I would appreciate it if you answered the following questions that will help me to provide you with better assistance:

What model of Google Doorbell do you have?

Could you please let me know what you have done to resolve the inconvenience?

Which app are you using to manage your devices?

Were you able to pair your Google Doorbell with your Echo Show 5?

Are you using an Android or iOS mobile device to set up your devices?

Is your Google Doorbell visible in the Home app or Nest app?

Is your mobile device with the Airplane or Do Not Disturb mode turned off or on?

Thanks for your attention. I will be waiting for your kind response to continue helping you.

Best regards,

Virna

What model of Google Doorbell do you have?

Google Nest Doorbell (battery)

Could you please let me know what you have done to resolve the inconvenience?

I have added a chime skill

I have toggled the visitor announcement on the Google Home App

I synced Alexa with the Doorbell.

I do get a notification on my phone but not on my Echo.

Which app are you using to manage your devices?

Google Home (also tried Nest app, but didn't need both apps)

Were you able to pair your Google Doorbell with your Echo Show 5?

Yes

Are you using an Android or iOS mobile device to set up your devices?

Android

Is your Google Doorbell visible in the Home app or Nest app?

YES! I can ask to see the front door and it's perfectly fine. I can hear the audio and see in Live view.

Is your mobile device with the Airplane or Do Not Disturb mode turned off or on?

Off

I just want to be able to get notification when someone presses the Doorbell incase I'm not near my phone to see a notification.  Please help!

Hi @XiomaraL03

Thanks for the additional information and trying those steps. I'm sorry we haven't been able to fix this yet.

Let's try something else:

  1. Go to the Partner Connections Manager > Check that you're signed in to the Google Account that you used to set up your camera or doorbell in the Google Home app.
  2. Select Amazon Alexa > Turn on Events for each camera or doorbell that you want to use for motion or person detection announcements.
  3. Open the Google Home app .
  4. Tap favorites or devices.
  5. Tap and hold your device's tile > More > Settings.
  6. Tap Events > Seen events.
  7. Turn on motion or person events and notifications.
  8. You can now turn motion or Person detection announcements on or off in the Alexa app  under Device settings.

If that does not work, you may have to re-add your Nest Doorbell to the app again.

Let me know how this goes. We will keep an eye out for your response to continue working together.

Thank you,

Catheryn.

I followed your steps and nothing worked. I re-installed and nothing. I give up. As much as I love the doorbell, I will just return it because it's just not working out.
