it is terrible that I just learned Google and nest apps would disconnect our gen2 thermostats. This is terrible because I don’t want to throwaway working devices and their deadlines are so soon when I will be out of town for a period of time. This seems awfully unfair. How can Google control the working of the thermostats. After all, the devices are on my internet and the app on my phone should allow basic control of my thermostats. Any solitions?
