Google Assistant - Shoppinglist voice commands no longer working in Dutch (Nederlands)

Ro12

For several weeks now, Google Assistant can no longer add items to my shoppinglist while using voice commands in Dutch. This used to work flawlessly in the past, but now I'm only getting 'Sorry, I don't understand' while using the exact same commands that worked before. When speaking English, there is no problem.

Example of my commands: "Hey Google, zet kaas op mijn boodschappenlijstje" or "Hey Google, voeg kaas toe aan mijn boodschappenlijstje".

The name of my shoppinglist has not changed, and is set to "Boodschappenlijstje".

Anyone else having this issue?

Hey there,

Sorry to hear about the frustrations that you're having with the Google Assistant, I'm happy to help.

I would suggest visiting our Google Assistant Forum and writing to them there as this is a question that they would be able to help answer.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Best regards,

Garrett DS

Hi Garrett, I just moved my question to the suggested forum 🙂

The new thread is located here: https://support.google.com/assistant/thread/161178555?hl=en

So go ahead and close the thread here. "Accept as Solution" would be a bit misleading when others are looking for a solution here 🙂

Thanks again for the suggestion!

Best regards,

Roland
