Google Assistant no longer allows me to use it to change smart light bulb colors/effects

Up until two days ago, we used to be able to use Google Assistant/Home to change the colors of our various Feit Electric smart light bulbs ("Hey, Google, change the color of the table lamp to green.").

Now we get a response from Google along the lines of, "I'm sorry, Google does not support this functionality. "

We haven't changed any of the settings on our smart bulbs through the Feit Electric app, and Google still works for turning the lights on and off, as well as controlling dimming. It just won't work any more for changing the color or for doing effects such as fading or strobe effects.

I'm kind of stumped here. Do all of our Google devices need to be rebooted? Do I need to reinstall Home on my cell phone? Etc.

Hoping someone out there has had a similar issue, and has found a fix!

you aren't alone in this, there have been multiple reports on all different platforms about this issue, google seem to be aware but haven't given any more information on the subject

Frustrating.  Same issues and I’m about to ditch google and go to Alexa. That dumb thing can at least turn on a light properly.

I went in today and picked a light and opened it.

Then settings.    unlink.   A message about all devices will be removed.  Confirm.   Then it shows a list of linked accounts.  I clicked on the Feit(did this for Atomi too). Then check for new devices.     Link account.    Problem fixed

Seems like everything has been fixed now!! Haven't seen any complaints about it and everyone that had the problems seem to report it being fixed now

@Dan_A personally the fix came through without me doing anything in regards to un adding or re adding my lights, after a few days google and/or tuya fixed whatever was broken
