Google Home Hub (Nest Hub) - cannot add Bluetooth Philips Hue bulb

Hi there!

I have been using Google Home Hub with Philips Hue Bluetooth bulb for a few years now. It worked with no problems. This week this has all changed. I could not control the bulb anymore - (when asked assistant on hub to tun off the lamp - it just made a "chime" noise and the display lit up). I have removed the lamp from the google home app - and wanted to link it back to it. 

This is when the problem occurred... I cannot add the bulb back to the app! When "adding a new device" - it does not see the light (the light is discoverable - checked with bt scanner - and the lamp works in Philips Hue app)...

Please help me out...

PS - i am only using one hue lamp, the devices are cca 2 meters apart...

That certainly hasn't been easy for you ― let’s check this out. For confirmation, when you’re trying to relink your Philips Hue BLE bulb, it’s not discoverable on your Home app but you can find it through the Hue app, right? Since the light is working on its own, it would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot by unplugging your router followed by your Nest Hub then, your Philips Hue bulb. Restarting your phone might also help.

Hi!

Thanks for the help - and sorry for the late reply form my side... had a lot going on...

I have tried what you suggested... and the lamp still is not recognised by the google home app... 

There is something else though - I have tried to make the lamp discoverable in the hue app and it seems there is a failure on that step currently (the pap says the bulb needs to be updated - but I have done that just did that today)... Will solve that issue and report back here...

Chiming in to see if the update did it? It would seem that Philips Hue BLE bulb is giving us the concern here. To confirm, is your Nest Hub working as intended when it comes to voice commands and such?

Yes - waiting on Philips support... The thing is that this is a "new" issue in the whole mess of everything 🙂 will report back after fixing the issue with Hue app - and hopefully it will solve the problem - either way - will report here...

PS. other commands work with Google Home...
