Hello... I have the same problem, the device MI Smart speaker IR control is recognized by both applications but when I try to link Mi home with google home I get the error that mentions, ¿some solution?. I have tried with various cell phones and it doesn't work either.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro

Motorola Moto e7

"Hi! Unfortunately, the problem has not been solved. Xiaomi customer service couldn't help either, they recommended Google customer service. I also tried from another phone but nothing, but the Blitzwolf app works fine, I just can't pair the Mi Home app. If you could solve the problem, I will let you know."

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out and for providing detailed information on your issue and the steps that you've done — these are of great help!

You can unlink Mi Home directly from your Google account then attempt to relink it again in the Google Home app then observe if it will make a difference. Check this link to delete Mi Home from your Google account.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Juni

Hi folks,

@Jes110417, chiming in — I'm happy that it's already working. Before connecting third party apps in the Google Home app, we need to make sure that the devices are controllable on the native app before linking it. You can check out this link for more information about Mi Home with Google Home.

@EndDave, just wanted to see if the Xiaomi smart speaker can be controlled on the native app? Also, you can try following these steps below.

1. Download the "Mi Home" app from Google Play or App Store.
2. Sign up or sign in with your Mi account.
3. Setup the device with your "Mi Home" app, and make sure you can control it in the app.
4. Open "Google Home" app (if you have not installed, please go to "Google Play/Appl Store to download). Click "+" at the top left, select "Set up device" list option, choose "Works with Google"
. And then search for "Mi Home" action and enable it by signing in with the same ID you used in the “Mi Home" app.
5. After the setup is finished, you can control the device with Google Assistant.

@Juni, thanks for the help.

Keep me posted.

Best,

Nikki

Hello Juni!

Unfortunately, the problem still hasn't been solved. I wasn't able to connect the Google Home and Mi Home application despite trying the provided link. I've already reinstalled everything but it still doesn't work.

Searching the internet in some forums I have found a trick that I hope will help you, it allows you to link the account and also allows you to turn on and pay for the TV with your voice. If you have any questions I will gladly help you.

Thanks, I tried it, but I haven't quite succeeded yet

Good morning, in what region do you have the Mi Home app? I have it in India, from the app settings change the region and re-synchronize the device. Once it is installed in MI Home, click on the speaker and add control choose the smart lamp option. In the listing look for customization. and then program the power button point the tv remote control to the speaker and press the power button and add button then link to Google Home and the lamp will appear.
