Google Home Mini 1st Gen won't turn on, no LED lights, factory reset not working

Hi

I have a Google Home mini 1st Generation (H0A) was working fine, then one day just wouldn't turn on, no LEDs come on. I have tried different power supplies and power sockets, power supply is fine and so are sockets. I have followed the instructions to factory reset, but that doesn't work. No matter what I do, I can't get an LED's to turn on.

Have tried the flicking the mute button on and off, but doesn't seem to do anything either

Any suggestions google?

Hi there!

Thanks for posting in the community.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience that this Nest Mini may have caused you. I understand that when you are performing the factory reset on your device, it is unresponsive. Let’s troubleshoot your device together. In order to confirm that we have followed the correct steps to factory reset your device, here I send you the steps:

  1. At the bottom of the device and below the power cord, press and hold (long press) the factory reset button.
  2. After 5 seconds, the device begins the factory reset process. Continue to hold (long press) for about 10 seconds more until Google Assistant signals the start of the factory reset.

If after following those steps your device is still unresponsive, here are some additional troubleshooting steps that might be helpful:

  1. Unplug the power cable from your speaker. Wait for 10 seconds. Plug it back in, and wait until all 4 lights on the top illuminate.
  2. Repeat step 1 10 more times.
  3. After you plug your speaker back in the final time, you'll need to wait a few moments for the device to reset. It will announce 'Welcome to Google Home. To get started, download the Google Home app on a phone or tablet,' to let you know that it’s ready for setup.

Please check the following articles: Issues when you reset your Google speaker and Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays.

Tell me how it goes.

Regards,

Daniel.
