I have been using Google routines for years without problems. Recently they've all started to go haywire. When I go to bed at night (Hey Google Goodnight) it's supposed to turn off all my lights. At times it misses some. This is inconsistent.
In the morning my Hey Google Good Morning, it is supposed to turn on the lights, give me my diary and play the news. This has stopped working properly. Only some of my lights turn on, but no diary and now news.
All my automatic timers have become messed up. Only some lights go on at planned times in the evening.
All lights & devices are visible in the Home app. Are controllable through the app. And will respond when I ask Google to turn on/off etc a light/plug etc
I have some 25+ periphery devices from lights, to plugs, kettles, heaters etc ... I do NOT want to cancel everything and start again. I do NOT want to do a 'master reset' for something that was working and has clearly been effected by a Google action.
Any suggestions ?

Hey Greeneyedred,
That certainly hasn't been easy for you — let's see what's going on.
Is this happening to all ready-made routines? How about custom routines, are you getting the same results? Have you tried editing your routines if that helps.
Try rebooting your Google Home, router and phone to refresh the connection.
Reinstalling your Google Home app might work too.
As much as we want to avoid resetting your device, it's the next step that we can do to totally refresh your device to its default settings.
Thanks,
Alex

I have 30+ devices in my place. I cannot factory reset all of them .... ! Especially when they did work and Google is the problem. Ergo they need to fix it.
The preset routines don't work and can't be fixed. The homemade routines don't work properly either.

And all i can hear are crickets ..... Thanks Google. You're driving me away to alexa more and more every day.

Hey folks,
I'm sorry for the delayed response.
mzbzyb, let us know if resetting your device works. Give reinstalling your Google Home and Google Assistant a try as well.
Greeneyedred, we understand how difficult this is for you. You can reset one of your Google Home devices just to isolate. If the same thing happens, could you give us the cast firmware version of your speaker? Also, the app version of your Google Home app.
Kind regards,
Alex

Hi,
I just had the 1 device, and I reset it, and it seems to be working now.

Hey mzbzyb,
Awesome! Great to hear that suggested steps work on your device. Let me know if you have other questions or concerns,
Greeneyedred, have you had the chance to reset your device?
Cheers,
Alex

I have been having the same issue. None of my routines now run when they are suppose to. I have ones that are suppose to start at 7am and they start at all hours of the day some days at 9am today it was at 11am. I have tried. looking in the routine section and nothing is in it.but my player play and when i look at my phone it shows it is casting to the mini but I can't see where from or find a location to reset anything. This is very frustrating. I am going to factory reset my devices in hopes that it works.
