Google Hub not recognizing Nest Doorbell

MiloTheSilo

Hmmm, what to do next.  When the Nest Doorbell rings I can not talk to the person using my Google Hub and I can not hear them.  I've checked and rechecked and can't get it back to normal.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi MiloTheSilo,

I’m sorry for the delay. Let’s check — give these steps a try:

  1. Open the Home app .
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. In the top right, tap Settings > Doorbell.
  4. Turn Visitor announcements on or off.
  5. Make sure Quiet Time is disabled.
In the Google Home app: select the doorbell > on the bottom, tap More > select Quiet time > tap Stop to disable Quiet time.

Also, have a look at this guide: Stream your security camera using your Google Nest display.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

JT
