Google and Powerview Connection

Jbeverly01

Hello. Up until the last update Google did that changed the Google App look I don't know how but my powerview Shade Scenes fell out.  I put them back in and synced device tested scenes and They all worked.  The next day they fell out again.  I put them all back (there's 43 scenes) and Theo are all there Theo work in the powerview app but won't work in Google Commands anymore but work in Alexa.

After a couple times in phone w Google and Powerview Uninstaller and reinstalling, unblinking and relinking, Powerview found the issue.

When you go to Powerview and select integration and select Google then learn. You get an error message

404. That’s an error.

The requested URL /services/a/uid/000000dc7f54ee2b?hl=en-US&jsmode=o&oecc=EAwyBggBEAEYAQ%3D%3D%0A was not found on this server. That’s all we know.

I've tried and tried but same message.  Powerview said They got the same message and asked me to contact Google and let them know the link is not working. Google can't read any of these 8f you can't connect the two

The link for Alexa works fine.

Is there a way to fix this.  It has consumed me for the last week.

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. Could you provide me with the case number when you contact our support team so we can check it?

I look forward to your response.

Hi Juni.  Do you have any feedback on the link between powerview and google home.  The link is broken.  Powerview said to contact Google because they have been trying as well.  They said since there was a Google update it has been like that.  It makes it difficult for me to operate Powerview.  Please help Juni.  Powerview said if we are able to get it fixed to let them know.  I had 2 Supervisors look into it and both said they are getting the same error.

Hi folks,

Thanks for the additional information you’ve shared. To help us further check on this, please send us a screenshot showing it or a short video clip showing it. Also, try to relink the Google Home app and observe if it makes a difference. Using another phone will also help us isolate this.

Keep me posted.

Best,

Juni

Hi Juni, here is a small video REDACTED, let me know if there is a better way to upload the video.  This video shows what Jbeverly01 was describing. Here's the steps I followed:
1. Go to PowerView Scenes app
2. Go to "More"
3. Go to "Integrations"
4. Go to "Google Assistant"
5. Hit "View Action".
6. It used to work and set up the action for you, but now it brings you to a broken link

I did attempt to re-link PowerView Scenes within Google Home but it just never persists after going through the process. Here's the process I went through:
1. Open Google Home app
2. Go to "Settings"
3. Go to "Works with Google"
4. Search for "PowerView Scenes"
5. Hit "Continue" to link an account to control PowerView Scenes
6. Login with your PowerView credentials and hit "Sign in"
7. Hit "Authorize" which should give Google permission to control powerview devices
8. It redirects you back to the settings screen in Google Home app. Click "Works with Google" again to confirm it was set up.
9. In my case, the power view scenes integration doesn't persist and it does not show up under the "Linked Services" section.

Hi foderaf,

Thanks for the details you’ve shared. The partner itself manages the URL portal used to link partners in the Google Home app. Issues encountered when linking a partner (home control) should be directed to that home automation partner for support. Partners are expected to support the integration of their products with Google Nest and Home devices.

Hi Juni, was wondering of any follow up on this as well. The link is still broken for me and the integration from Google's side won't stick

I have been stumped with this issue for a while now too. I've tried linking again via Google Home app and it just never sticks. It stopped working for me a while ago but I can't determine exactly when, but I see a number of posts saying it broke for them too. Mine was definitely working at one point.

I tried following the link from the power view app itself but hit this exact same error too.

The link in powerview (hunter douglas blinds)

Go to Integration and select google - you will see an error messasage the link is broken.  The one for Alexa works.  I contacted Powerview and they said ever since the last change from Google it has been that way for them as well and they cant fix it.  They say a lot of customers has called and they told me to contact Google to because it was working up until the last change was made for them as well

Thank you

Was there any resolution on this? I’ve had this problem for the last 2 weeks.  This looks like it’s a Google problem

Sadly no. I attempted to resolve it and still had no luck. Calling Hunter Douglas says it's a Google issue and Google says it's a Hunter Douglas issue. I've just had to accept that the integration won't work.

That sucks.  Mine has been working for years and all of a sudden it won’t work.  I’m going to look for my remote and use that while I see if I can find an answer.  IMHO, this is definitely googles fault

I'm having this exact same problem now. Has there been any resolution?

I just checked mine and it works

Have you done anything differently? Any recent update you performed ?

I had that issue for almost a year.  I contacted Hunter Douglas several times since google was clueless.  All they say is its a 3rd party call Hunter Douglas.  Hunter Douglas  had same issue.  They finally got someone to work w google to fix.  Everytime Goole does an update on one thing they mess up another.

I unlinked and relinked powerview, i deleted powerview completely and added it back, nothing

I tried re-adding it but it seems like it never sticks in the list of "Works with Google" in the Google Home App. Did you have to do anything special to delete powerview completely?

No, it just stopped working out of the blue. I tried to reconnect Powerview to Google Home as outlined in someone else's response, and it errors or tells me that I have no compatible devices, which is not true.
