Is anyone else having this issue? It seems recently after a recent google home update google has stopped recognizing my Deta 4 gang, 3 gang, and 2 gang wall switches as individual switches (gangs). I used to be able to set these individual switches (gangs )as individual switches to control individual lights but now it treats the switches as one individual switch.
I also used to be able to change the individual switches (gang) to light so I could add them individually to a routine. Now when I add these switches to a routine it turns on all the switches on this gang.
These switches are added to grid connect and then added to google home as Grid Connect works with google home. They show up in grid connect as individual switched with their own individual names and I can control them individually through Grid Connect. I have checked and both Google and grid connect are up to date.
Like I said all this functionality was fine until my google home was recently updated. Is anyone else having these same issues?

Similar here... suddenly individual lights are not recognized in voice commands. Now only entire groups of lights (rooms) are recognized in voice commands. This has been going on for at least a week. Lights can be controlled individually through manual selection in the Home app, and of course, in the native 3rd party app.

I'm having the same issue. I have a 4 gang setup that used to fire off scenes for various lighting states. The switch doesn't actually physically relay any circuits. It used to work perfectly but recently it now only works when one of the four switches is on. For example you can't have switch one and two on and work as programmed. It will only work if the switch in question is the only one on among the 4.

I have the same issue. I've got the switches operating 'scenes' using the scripts feature. Will only work one switch at a time.

Hello folks,
My apologies for the late response. I know the feeling when something isn't working the way it should. To confirm, do you have the same make and model of smart switch as the OP? Do you have the same issue when you use the Google Assistant app on your phone? Are you able to control the switch individually using the native app?
Let's go ahead and try unlinking and re-linking your home automation account from the Google Home app and see if that fixes the issue.
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers,
Muddi

Hey everyone,
It's been some time since this thread was updated. Does anyone here need assistance?

I still need assistance. Google used to be able to control individual lights such as "Front Porch East", "Front Porch West", "Living Room South", and "Living Room North". For some time now, Google does not switch individual lights in a room and switched the entire room on or off. For example, saying "turn off living room south" results in both living room lights being turned off. Nothing in my configuration has changed. Everything continues to work fine with Amazon Alexa and using the switch vendor's app.

Hi plaibach,
Thanks for coming back to us. Please try renaming the room to something unique and see if you have the same issue controlling your smart switches. This will help the speakers recognize which devices you want to control.
Keep us posted.
Cheers,
Muddi

Apparently Google has resolved the issue. My devices have started responding individually again. I have made no changes on my end. Thank you.
