Google home mini and Google Chromecast

When I ask Google to play certain videos on my Chromecast TV device it would say here are some selections and the selections would appear on my TV and then it would ask me which one do you like. For the last few weeks although it will offer the selection I'm no longer able to see those selections on my TV it was sure to selections with title and number then I would say one or three so the selections do not show but if I verbalize the number it will go to that video how can I get my selections to actually show again

Thanks for reaching out — let's see what's going on with your devices.

 

A few questions: what Chromecast device (USB stick, hockey puck or the one with the remote) do you have? Is it happening to all video services (YouTube, Netflix, etc.). Also, when did it start happening? 

 

Give these steps a try:

 

  1. Reboot your Google Home Mini, Chromecast and router for 1-2 minutes to refresh the connection.
  2. Make sure your devices are within 15-20 feet of your router and connected to the same network.
  3. Make sure your video services are linked properly on your Google Home app.
  4. If all fails, try resetting your devices to their default settings.
