Note, I do not see a product selection in The post options for Google Home,
When I am setting up an automation in Google Home, I do not see any selection allowing me to simply choose white light, as in no color from the color palette. I simply want regular white light. None of the colors are bright enough to replace the brightness of white light. Am I missing something? Where can I find this choice?

Hi @gmannhtown
What brand light is it? Do you have the brand's app installed? Possibly, you can change the light color/saturation in the OEM app first.

Gosund. Yes the app is installed and it is connected to the Google account. When using automations there is a standardized list of color options to select from. There is no option for white light. Even when the lightest of the colors is selected and even at 100% brightness it is still too dim to provide enough light in the area. And it is not white light like regular white light. If I go over to the devices tab I can select white light by moving the little color selector down into the schema of colors into the whitest area and it brightens the light to a pure white light bulb. There is no way to adjust hue or saturation in the automation settings when selecting a color. Unless there is something I am totally overlooking. But I see nothing. I have an image to share but unfortunately cannot attach it here. But I was able to attach it to the post itself. Please see updated image added. Thank you.

I see the image and thanks for adding that. I'll ask some of the others if they know of any other way to get around the automation color but can you try unticking the change color option and see if that helps?
Also - Is bright white selected in the app? And just to clarify- is the light brighter and the color saturation you want before you try adding it to an automation? The automation is changing it darker? Correct? Thanks!!
