Google home with mini

First I had three wall plugs that worked great then just quit. Then I tried bulbs without the plugs with magic home pro. Will not work with Google but they continue to be on and changing colors every few minutes with no input I give up. What bulbs actually work with Google home?

I have Philips Hue, Feit, and Gledopto working with Google. Are you connecting the bulbs through the 3rd party app??

Hi @NetHawk,

Thank you for your post and the detailed information you've provided. I understand that you are encountering some issues when you try to connect your bulbs on the Google Home app, and you also want to know what kind of light bulbs work with the Google Home app. I am here to help. Let's work together to find a solution.

To assist you with the best solution, I would like to get a bit more information:

  • Is your speaker powered on?
  • Is your speaker successfully set up on your Wi-Fi network?
  • Are your smart light bulbs successfully set up on the same WiFi network?
  • If your lights are also set up in the device maker’s app, are you able to control your lights through that app?
  • Have you recently made any adjustments to your WiFi network or Google Home app?
  • Have you ever been able to control your lights via your Google Home app?
  • What is the model of your light bulbs?
  • What is the model of your Google speaker?
  • Are you using the same Google Account on your mobile device and in the Google Home app? Are you in the same room as your speaker or display?
  • Are your light bulbs successfully set up on the Google Home app?

In the meantime, you can follow these articles:

You can find detailed instructions in our article: Connect third-party smart home devices in the Google Home app.

You can check in this link for what kind of lights are compatible with the Google Home app: lighting and plugs.

Please keep me posted.

Sincerely,

Jeremy
