cast from laptop to tv

I cannot cast from my laptop to my tv. Chromecast on TV, using Surface Pro that has casting capabilities. What am I missing? When I hit cast, my computer says no source found. Using same wi-fi for both

Nest doorbell video keeps getting deleted?

We are new to the smart home world, can any explain how the video keeps getting deleted without us doing it. I do understand after some time things may go to the cloud but this is different, our video is gone the next day? Anyone please help!!!!!
