My google nest keeps saying there was a glitch or saying it cant connect. I checked my router and my other smart lights they all work fine. I even have a google display that works fine. Its judt the nest mini wont connect and when it does after about 15 minutes it just does the same thing and i have to reset it. Restarting and rebooting wont even work. At this point im lost and if anyone has anything it will help.

Hey Gingy,
That certainly hasn't been easy for you — let's see what's going on with your Google Nest Mini.
When did it start happening? Were there any recent changes on your set up or network? Also, have you tried moving your Nest Mini to a different location?
Let us know how it goes.
Best,
Alex

Okay so i just got a nest mini 2 and a display. The display works better and keeps connection for the most part but there are times when it just wont work and gives me errors. I checked my lights and they all work fine in their apps. I checked my router and its running 588 mbps down and 12 mbps up so its fine. I set up separate device settings on my router. Long story short the only issues are with google home devices and ive reset them both. the nest mini 2 works for about 10 minutes after reset then gives me errors. The display works intermittently and its the same with the app. Im lost now ive read everything and tried all the normal fixes. The only thing i havent tried is resetting the app but ive heard that can work? Does anyone have literally any advice?

Unless you have some unusual Wi-Fi settings, I don't know why you would need "separate device settings" on your router. We have several Nest Hubs and a Nest Mini, and have no unique settings.
One reason for connection errors could be a poor Wi-Fi signal in the locations of your Nest Mini and Nest Hub. Have you tried placing them close to your router temporarily, just to see if this eliminates the connection issues?

Sorry i forgot to mention i live in the basement with one device like 1 foot away from the router literally and the mini 2 is about 10 feet away and the router is a gaming router putting out 588 mbps

Hey folks.
MplsCustomer, thanks for the assistance.
Gingy, it looks like you have an existing open thread that has a similar issue and I already replied to it. I'll merge this thread with the existing one. You may check it and continue the conversation there as this thread will be locked automatically once merged.
