Hello Google TV Team,
I would like to request a system-level loudness equalization or dynamic range compression feature for Chromecast with Google TV.
Many streaming apps, particularly ad-supported platforms, contain significant loudness spikes during advertisements compared to regular content. This creates an inconsistent and sometimes uncomfortable listening experience.
Windows includes a system-wide “Loudness Equalization” feature, and many televisions offer “Auto Volume” or “Volume Leveling” modes. However, Google TV currently does not provide a global audio normalization option.
It would be extremely helpful to add:
System-wide dynamic range compression
Automatic loudness normalization
Optional user-adjustable compression strength
Night mode / volume leveling setting
This would greatly improve accessibility, listening comfort, and overall user experience.
Thank you for considering this feature.

Hi @RedSocks,
Thank you very much for contacting the community! I understand your point regarding the system-level loudness equalization feature you requested for Chromecast with Google TV, which is similar to features found on other devices. I know there is nothing more annoying than peacefully enjoying a movie only to have a loud advertisement suddenly make you jump off the couch. Therefore, I would like to provide you with a feedback form so the appropriate team can review your comments and improve the product experience.
Best regards,
Eduardo
