I want to play a recording of my voice telling my cat to get off the counter. Is this possible? Would I have to save the recording somewhere, like maybe on my Google Drive?

Yes record the audio file. Are you going to have a motion sensor? You would create an automation for when the motion sensor is tripped then the audio file would play on specified speaker

Hi floss6467,
Thanks for reaching out to our community.
I appreciate your inquiry about how to make a speaker play a recorded message telling your cat, “Get off the counter,” with your voice. It is my pleasure to assist you with this concern.
Thank you, Krouton1981, for your contribution to this thread.
At this moment, based on the settings features available for the Google Nest speakers, I found that direct voice-activated order based on your cat's actions isn't currently possible, because these devices don't include a motion detector feature to trigger the recording when your cat gets on your counter.
Please consider sharing your thoughts directly with our development team through this feedback form. Your input will help us prioritize features and ensure that we're meeting the needs of our diverse user base.
Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.
Best regards,
