While setting up my Chromecast, I was doing fine until I had to close the Google home app during the setup. Now, after the system update, it's asking me to follow instructions of the Google home app. But when I try to connect on Google home, it says that I need to be connected to the same network as the TV. No matter which Internet I am connected to, it always says that.
I see the option to continue the setup with the remote, but when I do that, I am stuck on a loading screen indefinitely.
Finally, at one point I thought it would be a good idea to try and remove the Chromecast from the Google home, but now since I'm stuck on this setup screen, I can't add it to my Google home.
Is there a way to factory reset everything while stuck on this screen?

Hi @DBurge!
Thanks for posting in the community.
I’m sorry for the inconveniences that you’ve been experiencing when trying to set up your Chromecast. I can see that during the setup you closed the Google Home app; now you are stuck on a loading screen and cannot complete the setup process. No worries, help is here.
As you still don’t have any information on the device, I will suggest you perform a factory reset on it and also uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app. Then you can try setting up the device again.
You can check the next article to verify the steps for your specific Chromecast: How to factory reset your Chromecast.
Tell me how it goes.
Regards,
Daniel.
