Local devices in Google home app

Hi,

Is it possible to remove local devices in the Google home app? My living room TV keeps popping up on there then letting me control it from my nest hub. The TV belongs to my parents and aren't happy when I accidentally open YouTube whilst they are watching something. Is there anything I can do about this?

Jayden.

Go to Google Home app and click on the TV that you are want to unlink from Nest Hub, click on the 3 dots at the top right of your phone and it will allow you to remove that device.

Hi folks,

@RGA, thanks for the help.

@JaydenM, I'm sorry to hear that this has been an inconvenience to you and your parents. Let me help you out. Follow the steps below to remove the TV from your Google Home app:

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as your living room TV, or speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app .
  3. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  4. Tap Settings on the upper right corner > Remove device.

Keep me posted.

Best,

Dan

I wanted to follow up and see if you are still in need of any help. Have you had the chance to try the suggestion above? If yes, how is it?
