Lost wifi and ignored its scheduled program

Hey all. I've been a nest user for years. It's been great.  However, I went out of town for 3 weeks. I had my regular schedule running.  9 days ago comcast had an issue and wifi went out.  Nest1. Downstairs reconnected, no issue. Nest 2 upstairs didn't reconnect.  Not only did it not, it then ignored the schedule to keep running  and them the cool set itself to 91°.  So I just got back at 11pm and my room is way hot. Is there a way to make nest default to the schedule I'd wifi goes out?

Hey there Kpjax,

I apologize about the late response on this thread, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that schedule issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, let me just ask you some questions about what happened.

  • What model thermostat do you own?
  • Did you set the schedule using the mobile app, or on the Thermostat itself?
  • Were you using an auto-schedule, basic schedule, or a manual schedule?

Scheduling should still be available without Wi-Fi, however, it will not work from your mobile app. Try setting up the schedule on the thermostat itself, and see if the problem persists next time the Wi-Fi drops.

I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!

Best regards,
Jeran
