Both my Nest Doorbell and Floodlight Cam work perfectly. I have all of my outdoor lighting on Leviton Smart switches, which also work perfectly. I can successfully create a routine where the starter is time of day driven. However, I would prefer to create a starter that triggers when either the Doorbell or Floodlight Cam detects motion. It looks like this is possible in GoogleHome, but motion events never trigger the "light on" action. Is this automation unsupported or is there some trick to make this work?

Hi waf,
Thank you for reaching out to the community. I’m sorry that your Nest Cam with Floodlight never triggers the “light on” when motion is detected and the routine is running successfully. I understand how frustrating this can be. Help’s here.
Manage the Floodlight settings for motion detection. Here are the steps:
Also, you can adjust the motion sensitivity settings to determine when the floodlight will turn on. The options are:
Let me know how it goes and keep me posted.

Thanks Byron,
After doing some further research, I decided that I really wanted to trigger on "person" and not "motion", as the Google Floodlight is already motion activated. I also found some helpful information on creating Google Home automations with a YAML script. My exterior lights now come on between sunset and sunrise when a person is detected by either the floodlight cam or the doorbell, and this is exactly what I was able to accomplish.
