Hue offline on Google Home

I can see this question has been posted before but other posts were some time ago so hoping for some up to date advice. We have a Philips Hue bridge with lightbulbs dotted around the house. Our Google Home devices have suddenly started staying that all our lights are offline. We can see them in the Home app, and it recognises when they are on, off, what % brightness they are etc so the Home app still detects them. We can control them via the Hue app, we just can't control via voice command.

But if I go into the Home app and switch them all off, it turns them off or back on. If I try to switch a particular light off or on, I get a message that something went wrong.

I've reset my router, the Hue bridge, restarted the Google devices, cleared caches and checked updates and had no luck. Other posts have suggested unlinking the Hue device then reading the various lights but frankly, that's a pain in the proverbial when you have a house full of bulbs.

Is this a known, or recent issue and is there a simple fix or do I need to spend a day adding lights back on?!?

This post has had a few views but no replies - I've now fixed it so thought I'd update my own post!

Quite honestly over Christmas, I couldn't be bothered to delete the non responsive lights so ignored the problem and went away for a few days!

Came back home, Google Assistant was still telling me they were offline so I decided to remove one of the bedroom lights and then re-add it to see if that would work.

Went into the light, selected remove device and got the warning message. Came out of that screen and the light was still showing. So I tried turning it on via my phone's Home app and it worked! I then tried it via Google voice on my hub and that also worked?!

I then tried other lights around the house and they all also work again - either via the Home app or voice controlled.

If I hadn't tried it before attempting to remove the first light, I would think there had been a quiet little update but it definitely didn't work before I threatened to remove devices!

Anyway, it's all working again. No idea how but I'll take the win!
