Multiple home control and automation

I have 2 seperate houses. Each has a profile on Google home.

Presence sensing is active and working correctly, indicating presence at the correct house.

Each house has a bedroom air con called bedroom air con, assigned to each house profile. Each house has multiple speaker devices, correctly assigned to each house.

When requesting in one house a command to turn on bedroom air con in that house to a device that is correctly assigned to that same house, why on earth would it activate the air con in the other house,  and not even the air con in the  actual house each and every device in the house the command was given.

This is simply ridiculous.

Hi @M0381U5,

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I understand that you have been experiencing some issues with your speaker devices regarding an issue where giving a command to a speaker in your current home activates the air conditioner in your other house, especially when you've taken care to set up two separate house profiles. I understand this is not what you expect, let me help you find the best resolution!

Before we move forward, I need some information to provide you with the most accurate steps:

  • What is the make and model of both of your 'Bedroom Air Con' units (in each house)?
  • Are you using any other app besides the Google Home app?
  • What is the command that you are using?
  • When you give the command and the wrong A/C turns on, what is the exact verbal response from the speaker?
  • What is the make and model of the specific speaker you are giving the command to?

Once you fill out this information, I will be more than happy to assist you!

Best regards,

Debora

Hi Debora,

Seems like a lot to explain, for what shouldn't even be an issue.

I'm simply requesting the command to the correct drive with another device located in the same house. I would think a command to control a device in a seperate house all together would need a more detailed command including the other house.

I have tried to answer your question but really I couldn't be bothered. Some times it refers to is as the air con, the AC, or the air conditioner. Even when I am simply changing the temperature it wants to change the Air con in the other house. If however I use the exact same command with exactly the same words again it will often, not always get it right the second time, with out any change to the command request 🤷🏽🤦🏽.

Please see below the response I had begun....

● What is the make and model of both of your 'Bedroom Air Con' units (in each house)?

House 1 Bedroom - DAIKIN AIR CON (linked DAIKIN app)

House 2 bedroom - DAIKIN (Sensibo IR device linked to Google Home)

● Are you using any other app besides the Google Home app?

both devices are only controlled by the Google home app, however obviously linked using the individual

apps.

● What is the command that you are using?

At this time I am only in house 2, so when I am in the house 2 bedroom, I simply say 'turn on the air con' to

the google audio speaker in the same bedroom . If I say turn on the Bedroom Air Con it works the second

time.

If I am in the house 2 living room, I say to the house 2 living room sony speakers "turn on the bedroom air

con' it activates the House 1 bedroom Air con.

● When you give the command and the wrong A/C turns on, what is the exact verbal response

from the speaker?

'Turn on Bedroom air con' in House 2 living room sony speaker "got it turning the air conditioner on" turns

on House 1 bedroom Air con

● What is the make and model of the specific speaker you are giving the command to?

House 2 bedroom speaker google audio, living room sony speaker LFS50G

Thanks

Also,

No have different routines for different houses.

Good morning routine for example.

I want to simply say for morning in one house and it triggers my devices in the house,

There is no option for a good morning routine for each house
