NEST HUB MAX

Isabelle53

I have a Nest Hub Max, I tried setting it us over a year ago and become completely disillusioned and put it away. Today i thought I would torment myself again and started to set it up. I get part way though and it says "This Nest Hub Max is connected to another account or home". This was a new unit when I purchased it - so no one else has used it. I have reset to factory settings, deleted the Google Home app and re downloaded it. Gone through the whole set up again, only to get the same message. HELP

@Isabelle53

When you tried setting it up originally, did you set it up in a different Google Nest "home/structure" than the one you're using now, or using a different Google Account than the one you're using now?

I cannot remember, i have changed my email address, but I have gone into Google and it only shows one email address.  I have no idea how to see what I did originally.  I thought resetting all of these things would have gotten rid of that

I think, unfortunately, that Google Nest does not have any way of changing the gmail account attached to a Nest Account.

Are you certain you performed the factory reset of your Nest Hub Max as described here?

If so, you could try this process of unplugging your Nest Hub Max 11 times, as described here (though that doesn't seem to work for everyone):

Isabelle53, have you had the chance to try the steps MpIsCustomer has shared here? How’s it?

Thanks for the help, MpIsCustomer.
