Nest Cameras as CCTV on Chromecast

I own multiple Nest Indoor/Outdoor battery cameras around my home and would love to have a grid view of all the feeds on a monitor in my office (like Batman).

I'm pretty sure that isn't possible as the moment (please do correct me if I'm wrong), so I'm thinking the next best thing would be to set up an automation that cycles through the feeds on a Chromecast with Google TV.

I have tried setting one up to move to the next feed every 10 seconds, but haven't been able to figure it out.

Has anyone managed to set something like this up?  Care to share?

Thanks!

  1. Open the Google Home app on your smartphone or tablet.
  2. Tap on "Routines" from the menu.
  3. Tap on the "+" icon to create a new routine.
  4. Under "When this happens," choose "Add commands" and select "Voice command."
  5. Enter a voice command that will trigger the routine, such as "Show me the cameras."
  6. Under "My Assistant should," choose "Cast screen/audio."
  7. Select the Chromecast device you want to cast to.
  8. Tap "Add action" and choose "Wait" from the list of actions.
  9. Set the wait time to 10 seconds (or any duration you prefer).
  10. Tap "Add action" again and repeat steps 6-9 for each camera feed you want to cycle through.
