Nest Protect will not connect to WiFi D-Link DIR-882 router if set security to WAP2/WAP3.

So they do not support WAP2?

I have 4 of them all the same.

Model: Topaz 2.7

Software 3.4.1rc1

That is correct.

The Nest Protect does not support the newer WAP3 protocol, they also only support the 2.4 GHz band

But it's set to two and three, not just WAP3 and it's not connecting.

Hello folks,

I'm sorry for the late response. I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

@Patrick_Caezza, thanks for giving assistance.

@Tanquen, In addition to the above, Nest Protects are only compatible with WPA2 Wi-Fi security on the 2.4 GHz channel. You can check these Nest Protect technical specifications and Update Wi-Fi network and router settings links for more details. Also, here's additional setup link.

Please let me know if that helps.

Thanks,

Mark
