Nest Thermostat Not Working Alert

When we purchased and installe dour Nest thermostat I thought there was a way that I would get an alert on my phone if it stopped working.  We live far away from the home with the thermostat.  It stopped working 7 days ago but I got no alert.  The only way I found out is that somebody rented the house.  Is there some way to set up an alert so that I'm informed on my phone that it isn't working??

I'm sorry for the late reply. I'd love to help.

In the Nest app or the Google Home app settings, you can adjust what type of alerts you will get and how you want to be contacted. Then, you can easily seek out and contact HVAC-trained Nest Pro technicians through the alerts themselves.
