My Nest lock went offline yesterday (a few hours after I changed the batteries) and now I can’t seem to reset it.
I’ve reinstalled the nest connect and I can’t make the button on the back on the lock turn blue, which is part of the process for reinstalling the lock.
the keypad on the front still works, though only my master code will actually unlock the door. It won’t recognize any other ones.

Hi Jkb113738,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I’d be happy to help you with your Nest x Yale Lock.
Here’s a handy guide to help you factory reset the Nest × Yale Lock.
Let me know how it goes.
Best,
Lance

Is this the next step if it won’t connect to my nest connect and I cant re add it to the app? Or is there an intermediate step to try first?
im worried about bricking the whole thing. At least my master code is still working for the moment….

Hello Jkb113738,
Thanks for getting back to me. If the Nest x Yale Lock is still added to the Nest app, restart the lock by removing the batteries for 1 minute, then re-insert the batteries. Wait for a few minutes and check if the lock comes back online. However, if the lock has already been removed from the Nest app, follow the steps above to factory reset the device before adding it back to the app.
Keep me posted.
Regards,
Lance
