It is very important to know what Google devices have the hardware for, and will receive the software upgrade to, support these bran new standards, "Matter" and" Thread". I (and likely many others) don't want to invest more in Google products without knowing this before purchase as things are about to meaningfully change very soon. I dread the thought of (time, trouble, losses in value) having to soon sell expensive devices I buy now, that will instantly become legacy very soon when "Matter" and "Thread" are suddenly available from Google and elsewhere. I have recently bought the Hub Max and a few Nest Minis, etc. I already see people selling these at a significant discount on various sites for much less than I paid new. I'm interested in buying many more devices for our home, but need clear definitive answers to this critical questioning. It's all enough to make one Go Bananas! Thank you

Hey GoBananas,
Thanks for reaching out. We don't have any news to share about the availability of "Matter" and "Thread" upgrades. All Google Nest and Google Home devices automatically update to the latest firmware via an OTA update (over-the-air update), if the device is receiving power and connected to a working internet connection.
Let me know if you have other questions or concerns.
Best,
Alex
