New phone wont sign in to Nest app. Not yet migrated to google account.

I have a new phone and the Nest app wont work anymore. Email address sign in wont work even though its the right email. Tried to reset password but we are not receiving any emails to reset even though the app says email sent. We havent migrated our account to google as yet. Not sure what to do?

Are you absolutely certain you're using the same email address and password you were using previously? Can you log onto the home.nest.com website on a computer with the same email address and password?

Whenever we've upgraded an iPhone or iPad, we just logged into the Google Nest app on the new device with the same email address and password we were previously using.
