In my case Google Home works unreliable when On/Off or a motion sensor is used as a trigger for an automation.
1. A switch (smart plug, Shelly) is configured as a trigger. When switched off Google Home should start an automation. Until June it worked fine. Now in 9 of 10 cases the automation won't start.
2. A hue motion sensor is configured as a trigger for a smart plug to activate when motion was deteced. Also here until June it worked fine. Now in about 50% of all cases the automation won't start.
In both cases there are no entries in Google Home activty. I can assume that the cause is not the smart plug or the motion sensor. There is no different behaviour between automation created by script or Google Home app.
Any ideas someone?
