Powerview gen 3 and google home

Jbeverly01

I have google home max hub and hunter douglas powerview gen 3 blinds.

Created google home act under a different email as opposed to my personal email to specifically set up google home (call it email for google gome) than my personal email.

I got my scenes working when I ran the commands thru my phone to test (Ie Open Dining room shades, close family room shades, etc) I noticed when my google home hub responded it would not do anything.  When I looked at the screen it showed that my personal email icon was showing rather than the icon for google home.

I called google support today who told me to delete my personal email as it was getting confused. So I selected leave this home.  Then nothing worked. I invited my personal email back and reconnected powerview but noe nothing works

Can someone help. Google support was not a help in fact they messed my act up

It sounds like there's an email mix-up causing the issue. Try removing the hub from both accounts, then set it up again using only the Google Home email. Reconnect the Power view to that same email, and hopefully, everything will sync properly. If not, a quick reset on the hub might help clear things up.

Hi @Jbeverly01!

Thanks for your reply, your patience, and your efforts.
Let me help you to solve this situation.

Here are some extra steps for you to try:

  1. Open the Google Home app on your phone and make sure that you are signed in to the account that you created for this process.
  2. Set up the Nest Hub under this account.
  3. Link the blinds to the Google Home app.
    1. Set up the Douglas Pwerview Gen 3 Blinds under the manufacturer app.
    2. Under the Google Home app, go to Devices, then hit on Add and select Works with Google Home.
    3. Look for the manufacturer app under the list and continue the process.
  4. Try again to control the blinds.

Tell me how it goes.
