Problem with Chromecast while install

I purchased Google Chromecast through Flipkart. I haven't used it for 2 months and now while installing the Chromecast with tv, i am facing issues. Once it is turned on it is not detecting on the Google home to continue set-up. After several tries sometime it is detecting and if I continue to connect wifi, it is not connecting to the WiFi. It is showing error message stating, network error. Previously I purchased one from Flipkart and it was very well installed quickly and working fine. But this time I feel hard to install. I thought it is device fault and looking for service or replacement. But unable to do it, since I have no idea about service centre in Bengaluru and even Flipkart is having zero knowledge on this.

Thanks for reaching out. Quick questions — what's the LED light status in your Chromecast (solid or flashing white)? What's the distance between the router and the Chromecast device? Please manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: Go to the phone’s Settings > Open WiFi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set up again. Resetting it might also help.

 

If you believe that the device is faulty, you may try to reach out again to Flipkart if they could possibly replace your device.
