I gotta say Im spitting MAD

 

Awhile ago I bought a nest cam. The battery one. Set it up and PAID into your subscription. Bought the cam at home depot canada.

 

So I went backa month later and bought the wired version of the cam. MUCH to my surprise, I find it another app!!! Its the nest app and not the home app where i purchased my subscription!! 

I fully expected this camera to work with the HOME app. It does NOT and it is not marked on the box at all!

Your Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription covers all the cameras and doorbells in the same "home" or "structure" even if you have to use two different apps to administer them and access your Nest Aware history.

We were surprised in the opposite direction when we bought a Google Nest Camera (Battery) in Sept. 2021 and discovered it works ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com like our other Google Nest cameras and doorbells.

Thank you kindly for the response but thats not what i signed on for.

This information should have be CLEARLY written on the box without question. 

As for the APP still not working properly, I find it a shock with all the money google makes that they cant put a team of coders together and crank out a world class app in short order. Somethings wrong.

Google is in the process of merging the Nest brand into the Google Home Brand, so some of the older items still use the Nest app to setup, however you can view them in the Google Home App once setup.  Yes its frustrating, and we would all love to see Google move faster on this, but at least you can use this still with your subscription in the same app.  Also - Just an FYI this is a user forum, we are not google employees here, if you want to give feedback you can do that through the google home app, or through the main support channels (https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp?hl=en)
