I upgraded from Google Nest mesh 6's to TP-Link DECO Wifi 7. The modem, SSID, and password remained the same. I am unable to get the cameras to reconnect. Is there any way to do it remotely through the Google Home app? I don't want to have to access cameras that are 25 ft + in the air.

They should automatically reconnect BUT what you can do is flip your breaker and reset power that way. They then may connect quicker. This is if the SSID and Password did not change.

I think you have to have both networks avaialble to the same time to switch from Network A to Network B.

Hi Billyho,
Thank you for posting in the community.
I understand you're having trouble reconnecting your Nest Cams with floodlights, after switching from Google Nest Wifi mesh 6's to TP-Link DECO Wifi 7, despite your modem, SSID, and password remaining the same. I appreciate you considering the Google recommendations for changing your cameras' Wi-Fi settings or installing a new router, and your request to find a way to reconnect your cameras remotely through the Google Home app, since your cameras are located 25 feet or more above ground. I'm glad to assist you with this.
Usually, keeping the same network name (SSID) and password is the solution as long as the new Wi-Fi router settings are the same. However, since that didn’t work this time, you’ll need to update the Wi-Fi details on each of your Nest Cams with floodlights. In the Google Home app, Wi-Fi information for cameras can't be updated, so you'll need to factory reset the camera and set them up again in the Google Home app. You can check this Google Help Center article: Set up your Nest camera in the Google Home or Nest app.

Yes I had to do a factory reset for each device and find those old QR codes from the devices. It was not an easy process, rather involved and complicated. A direct method for connecting to each device from an Approved Google Home app would be beneficial. I have included my situation so that others would have the opportunity to learn and keep their QR codes handy and realize what they would be in for if they choose Google devices and they should loose their Wi-fi router. Btw I don’t have the Nest network nor a TCP link device, just the Spectrum router. The Spectrum tech just swapped it not knowing what was properly wrong with it. He also drilled a hole in the wall straight through my electrical service conduit. Definitely a challenging situation.
