Hi,
the old owner left the nest learning thermostat and their account still connected. How can I remove theirs and add mine?

I just had the same issue go to settings...select account connection and Reset. Then you can reconnect to your network. Hope this helps

Hi everyone,
@SnowyClare, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. Just go to the Settings of your Nest Thermostat and look for Reset> All Settings. Just a reminder, all of your configuration will get reset. Make sure you know your heating and cooling system settings in the settings. In case you don't, you may go to Settings> Equipment.
Let us know your update here.
I appreciate the help, IDO.
Best,
Emerson

Thank you! I finally asked the previous owner to remove his account as I really scared I forgot anything about the input. All set now! Appreciate for all your help.

Hey everyone,
@Alicia4, thanks for joining the discussion. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having the same issue. Have you had a chance to try to factory reset the Nest thermostat as suggested by Emerson above? If yes, how was it?
Let me know if you have any questions.
I appreciate your help, Emerson and Jenelyn.
Best,
Lance

“Hi, I have a Nest Cam model A0005 with FCC ID ZQANC11. I purchased it several years ago but it’s still tied to my ex-husband’s Google account, and I’m no longer in contact with him. I need to reset and activate it under my own Google account. I’m the rightful owner and can provide proof of possession. Can you help me transfer ownership or unlock the device?
