I currently use a mix of Google, Schlage, Ring, Wyze, MyQ, and Kasa wireless devices.
I would like to automate turning off our Google Nest thermostat if the doors or windows are left open for 10 or more minutes. I currently have Wyze contact sensors with the Wyze hub but am open to replacing the thermostat or sensors if needed. I'm new to automating our Airbnb at this level and appreciate all constructive feedback. I primarily use IOS but also use the Windows OS to access most of our devices. I'm open to all advice on minimizing the vendor list also 😁! Thanks in advance!

Hi SuperDave-O,
have you ever tried Google Home Script Editor. For my opinion this is a really strong tool to make nearly every automation.
If your devices are shown in google home you have the possibility to use them with the script editor.

Thank you, I appreciate your reply, but I need a point and click solution. My wife needs to be able to manage it as well.

Hi SuperDave-O,
Thanks for reaching out. I understand that you'd like a one-click solution to turn off the thermostat after 10 minutes if the windows are left open. I'm happy to assist you! I apologize, but that specific feature is not currently available. I recommend sending us your feedback. Your recommendations and comments are very important for us to improve our devices.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Regards,
Manuel

Hey Super Dave-O,
with an automation you or your wife havent to do anything. If google home recognize that the window/door left open for over 10 minutes, the automation will turn off the thermostat.
