Routine no selection in which speakers

When I come home I have a "I'm home" routine set to turn on lights and music. I would like it to play on a certain set of speakers (pair of google hub speakers) not the device that I speak to near the front door... Is this possible or not? Thank you very much...

Hi cheffy,

Thanks for reaching out. You can create and customize your own routines based on your preferred starter options and the actions that the routine does. If you have two paired speakers or displays and want to add action to play music, you can select Add your own action, then add what music you want to play and the name of the pair.

Check out the article below to know more about routines.

I am having the same problems. For further clarity, 1. After adding a play music action, the bottom of the screen "Device for Audio" only allows music to play on the device that initiated the command. There is no choice for of the other 5 other chromecasts in my system; 2. Trying the Custom Command approach with either "Play soft jazz radio on Pandora on Living Room Audio" or "Cast soft jazz radio on Pandora on Living Room Audio"  - it plays the right thing but ONLY on the device which initiated the command (e.g. my phone, Google Nest Max, etc -- NOT on the Living Room Audio as commanded.

Hi MalibuDave42,

Thanks for reaching out and for the details you’ve shared. Instead of selecting play and control media, you can add your own action, then type the artist and the music that you want to play, and then include the name of the speaker. Try the example below.

“Play (Artist), (Song name) on (name of speaker)”

Thanks.. but that was #2 I listed in my post. That does not work either.. though your phrase is written slightly different. I will tweak it a bit and see what happens
