Schedule and Home & Away

Why can’t I set up a schedule for a nest cam and have a home and away routine? I want the cameras to turn off while I am at home, but automatically turn on at a certain time of day. For example 11pm-8am they would be scheduled to be on, but when I am up they will turn off so I don’t get notifications.

Yes is there any way to do the schedule and home and away mode at the same time?

Home + Away is an automatic process if enabled, or you can do it manually. Schedules will override the default settings. You can learn more here.

Okay, so you are saying that I can set up the Home and Away mode and the schedule mode at the same time. When the schedule starts, it would override the home and away?

I am saying that you can turn Home + Away on or off manually, or let it work automatically which is somewhat of a process as it has to learn some behaviors for when you are home and when you are gone. Scheduling a routine works a bit differently, you can learn more about routines here
