Why don't I have the option in Google Home to have my Nest Cam turn on automatically when I leave my home but not turn off automatically when I return? Instead both the settings are linked and they both have to be on or off. Why? This frustrates me to no end because I don't trust Google location sensing to know when I'm actually home or just close to home to turn off my camera. However o do want to have fail-safe to turn on my camera if I have obviously left the area.

Hi scott672,
I understand what you wanted to achieve in turning your camera on and off using Home/Away Assist. The best way you can do, is to turn off your Home/Away Assist settings to access your camera manually. This gives you an option to view your camera all the time. You can also change your Home/Away Away settings to always on whether you’re home or away. Have a look at this article and let us know if you need more help: Change Home/Away Assist setting. Otherwise, I'll be locking this thread after 24 hours. Feel free to start a new thread and we'll be happy to help.
I appreciate the help, Brad.
Thanks,
JT
