Smartthings devices automatically removed them added and not reachable in routines

Every couple of days, I get notifications from Google Home that a group of Smartthings devices has been removed them immediately added back into my home. When this happens, routines that included those devices can't reach them and result in error messages from Google Home that it could not reach a device and we "might want to try setting them up again". This has been happening for a couple of months now. To fix the problem I need to go into every routine that contained those devices and either resave the routine or add the devices back into it. The routines have become so unstable I am having to do this kind of maintenance every couple of days. What is causing this? Is it somehow related to the implementation of Matter? Is anyone else seeing this same issue? I can't seem to find any recent evidence of this on the forums.
